The church has no water supply
and therefore no toilets or kitchen facilities. The Vestry is hard at
work planning for the future so that the church can be alive and active
in the community in the 21st century. Planning Permission has
been granted to build a hall with the necessary facilities adjacent to
the church, for which major funding will be required. This is an ambitious
and, at times, daunting task. Nevertheless, we firmly believe that a church
must be a living, active, outgoing community if it is to achieve its potential
either as the site of God’s life in the world or
as the continuation of a piece of historic architecture. The latter is
not served by maintaining an empty fossilised relic of times past. We
are convinced that the new hall is an essential part of our future community.
